Honoring the Party's Centennial, QuVideo Supports Short Video Creations

Grandpa Shi from Cuiyuan Street, Hangzhou, is a retired soldier and a veteran Party member. Recently, during the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC, he donned his military uniform and spoke on behalf of the retired servicemen in the community, recalling the dedication he held decades ago to serving the people. Grandpa Shi created a short video, condensing this memorable moment and his gratitude and love for the Party into just over 10 seconds. He wanted to keep it for himself and share it with fellow senior comrades in his social circle.

On the centennial of the CPC, we share our stories with the Party and send our heartfelt blessings. A short video is the perfect way to do so. QuVideo has launched a series of activities, making its easy-to-use mobile editing apps a versatile tool for people of all ages to express their wishes and celebrate the occasion.

Creating Tribute Videos Across Generations

In the week following, QuVideo launched the "A Century's Journey, A Tribute in Time" campaign across its apps, including VivaVideo and VivaCut, in mainland China. The campaign provided multiple Party-centenary-themed templates, enabling users to quickly generate short videos by adding personal photos and video footage. 1、.png

The response was overwhelming. Many senior participants used videos to show new aspects of their daily lives; children expressed their blessings for the Party with loud, joyful messages. Some shared their thoughts: "I want to show today's life to those who lived in 1921, thanking the pioneers for their contributions that made our present possible."

Making Video Editing Accessible to Seniors in Local Communities

Grandpa Shi, a new user of the VivaVideo app, quickly became a devoted fan. He said: "With technology developing so quickly, seniors also want to make videos and photos, and create short videos themselves—but many of us don’t know how to use smartphones properly." image (4).png

To help seniors like Grandpa Shi fulfill their wish of creating tribute videos for the Party, QuVideo held its second offline philanthropy program in Cuiyuan Street, Hangzhou. Many participants were veteran Party members. The activity combined instructor-led teaching with volunteer assistance, guiding seniors step-by-step to use the Party anniversary templates in VivaVideo to produce their own short videos. Most instructors and volunteers were members of QuVideo's Party Branch.

Many seniors not only quickly learned how to use the templates but also became interested in custom editing, turning travel footage into personalized short videos with text and music.

Through video, life can be shared, and memories can be preserved. A century may be long, but it is not distant. Standing at this new historical starting point, let us collectively use the images of our vibrant lives to depict the heroes, pioneers, and contributors of the new era, composing a brilliant symphony for the times.
