Leveraging the occasion of International Day of Charity on September 5th, Jinlin Public Welfare and QuVideo jointly launched the "Reading for Love, Giving Through Reading" Charity Month. QuVideo initiated the online #ReaderAction campaign, inviting users to record and share their reading experiences through videos, raising awareness of the importance of reading and companionship. To encourage participation, users who completed three check-ins received a charity certificate, and QuVideo donated a picture book to the left-behind children at Fengshuling Town Central Primary School on behalf of each participant.

During the ten-day #ReaderAction campaign, participants ranged from those born in the 1970s to the 2010s, reflecting the broad age diversity of QuVideo users and their shared passion for public welfare. The reading materials varied widely, including children's picture books, college textbooks, inspirational success stories, literature, and history, while participants came from diverse professional backgrounds. Participants also shared their reading videos across social media platforms such as WeChat Moments and Weibo, expanding the campaign's reach. The #ReaderAction topic on Weibo reached over 238,000 views, and more than 500 books were raised in total. 图片1.png

On the day of the event, QuVideo volunteers were divided into three groups to join classroom activities, sharing picture book stories, introducing children to different cultures, and showcasing the charm of technology and the internet. The public welfare team also recruited overseas volunteers, including staff from South Korea, to participate in interactive activities. These volunteers brought musical instruments, songs, and dance performances, which received enthusiastic responses from the children.

At the end of the event, QuVideo officially donated the picture books and reading journals to the students of Fengshuling Town Central Primary School, conveying heartfelt blessings and best wishes for their growth. 6.JPG

Public welfare is something everyone can participate in. By awakening kindness, engaging in charitable activities, and providing long-term companionship, we not only help others but also enrich ourselves.
