In the early hours of March 7, a16z, the top-tier venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, officially released its latest Global Top 100 AI Applications List.

Every six months, a16z compiles rankings of the world’s top 50 AI-native web products (ranked by monthly unique visitors tracked by Similarweb) and top 50 AI-native mobile applications (ranked by monthly active users monitored by Sensor Tower).

On the mobile applications list, VivaCut, developed by QuVideo, secured the 15th position, trailing only DeepSeek. 硅谷a16z 榜单-VivaCut.png

Since its launch in 2019, VivaCut has positioned itself as a professional video editing software, offering features including multi-layer timelines, picture-in-picture, video blending, keyframe animation, and masking, which have won wide acclaim among professional creators.

In the past two years, leveraging the development of generative AI, VivaCut has not only enhanced its AI-powered audio and video processing capabilities, but also rolled out a vast array of generative AI-enabled templates and effects. Users can create visually stunning special-effect videos simply by uploading photos. 美图设计室变清晰_2025_12_11.png

In the fourth quarter of last year alone, over 100 different types of AI-driven template features were launched on the app. User data shows that users in the United States have the highest willingness to pay, followed by those in Portuguese-speaking regions; in terms of popularity, users in the Arabic-speaking Gulf region are also enthusiastic about such features.

In its release, a16z noted that AI-powered video editing software remains a major use case for consumer AI. Such applications simplify time-consuming processes like intelligent editing, subtitle creation and more into one-click solutions. Among mobile applications for mixed photo and video editing, VivaCut stands out as one of the most representative products. 美图设计室变清晰_2025_12_11-2.png

As a 6-year-old professional mobile video creation software, VivaCut’s inclusion in a16z’s list is a testament to the product’s success in identifying new growth drivers to meet user needs amid the generative AI wave.
