Company NewsMarch 30, 2026

At the QbitAI Salon held in Beijing on March 26, Lin Xiaodong, CEO of QuVideo's Consumer Business, shared the company's latest exploration in AI-driven video creation and its global expansion strategy. Representatives from leading global companies, including Google, JD.com, and Agora, also attended the event.

Lin highlighted that AI-native applications are now a key driver of QuVideo's global expansion. The company is building a generative AI-powered video product ecosystem to make creative expression more accessible to everyday users. _DSC0084 - 副本.jpg

Since its founding in 2012, QuVideo has focused on serving global users' video creation needs. With products such as VivaVideo, the company has reached over 2.2 billion users worldwide. In the AI era, video creation is shifting from complex editing workflows to more intuitive, expression-driven experiences, significantly lowering the barrier to creativity.

To capture this shift, QuVideo is advancing along two main directions: developing AI-native applications in areas such as video and music generation, and upgrading its existing products with AI capabilities to enhance user experience.

Lin also emphasized that commercial viability and cultural understanding are critical to AI globalization. Given the high cost of large models, AI products need to establish a sustainable business loop early by aligning user acquisition, product design, and monetization strategies. At the same time, deep understanding of local cultures remains essential, from visual preferences to payment behaviors across different regions. DSC04212 - 副本.jpg

Looking ahead, Lin noted that as AI models become increasingly commoditized, differentiation will depend on how well companies understand user intent and real-world scenarios. In this context, AI Agents are emerging as a key direction. Rather than simply responding to user commands, future applications will act as collaborative partners, helping users turn ideas into content and enabling more personalized creative expression.

QuVideo is actively exploring the role of AI Agents in consumer creative tools, aiming to further bridge the gap between user intent and content creation.
